Well...

...not much going on today. I finished "The Shack" and have started on "Crazy Love." I enjoyed "The Shack" a lot. I love books that you can discuss with other people. It's always fun to get different opinions and perspectives.

I should hear something about my job this week. I'm not worried about the outcome of the budget woes. I just need an answer so I can make some decisions. My friend Tommy is still looking for a job. If you don't mind, please say a prayer he finds something before his current job ends.

Also, I am looking into starting school in the fall...seminary, to be exact. I go in a couple weeks to visit Asbury Seminary in KY. I will have to take out loans for at least my first year, as I missed the deadline to apply for scholarships. I know this might seem like a HUGE request, but if you feel led, would you please pray that God provides the funding. It's a pretty ridiculous number for someone like me. But, I know God can provide. At first, I felt guilty for even considering praying for the money. Then, I felt convicted for feeling guilty and felt like God was saying, "Just ask." Do I think he was telling me he was sending me a check for several thousand dollars? No. I think he was saying, "Just ask. Trust me. I will provide. You will have the funding or at least peace of mind when you take out loans." So. I am asking. If you feel led to pray, too, then please do.

Completely changing the subject: I slept 11 hours last night.

I hate storms!

Luckily, things didn't get too bad here, just a lot of rain and some hail. I was worried until the storm actually got here. Then, I watched it out the window. Storms freak me out because I worry about myself and my friends. Ask them...I have called and/or sent texts at 2:00 AM to tell them to watch the weather. I really hate storms.

Ai, yi, yi

I can't sleep. This makes me sad.

In other news, I am currently reading "The Shack." I know, I know, I am behind the times. So far, I like it.

A snail's pace...

This week is going by slowly. Yawn. I keep thinking it should be Friday. Yesterday, I thought it was Thursday. I'm certainly ready for the weekend. Sleep. Writing a "personal essay" for an admissions application. Maybe...MAYBE going to see some bands play in Nashville. We'll see. Yawn.

Bleh

My throat hurts, as do my head and ears. I'm hoping it's just the changing weather. I took 2 benadryl. Hopefully, I will sleep most of the day tomorrow.

I think I've changed...

...and I didn't even mean to. While grocery shopping today I looked into my cart and noticed there was NO junk food. I had fresh broccoli and spinach, orange juice, lite mayo and sour cream, and some veggie chik'n nuggets. This afternoon, I walked 4 and 1/2 miles on the greenway (with Katie). What is happening to me? I think I love it.

Baking Machine

I have been baking A LOT lately. Pies. Cake. Cookies. Muffins. I can't seem to stop, though my waistline is begging for a break. Tonight I made oatmeal chocolate chip cookies. Yum. My beautiful Kitchenaid mixer was happy and did her job well. The cookies turned out oh so perfect. I love oats and chocolate together, as long as it has nothing to do with oatmeal. I hate oatmeal. Ick.

Yawn

I have been really tired the last week or so. Every day. I get at least 8 hours a night, so it seems to me like I should feel refreshed each morning. No. such. luck. I think I've been consuming plenty of protein and iron, so I don't think my newish vegetarian diet is to blame. I'm hoping it's hormones, and that it will go away soon. Otherwise, I plan on sleeping all. weekend. long.

PTL!

I often have prayer requests, but today I have a praise! My dad has jobs lined up, and as long as the weather stays good he will be able to complete them! Work has been slow, and money has been tight, so this is a blessing! I am so thankful for the wonderful weather and that God always takes care of my family.

This picture is from a trip I took last April to Land Between the Lakes. I love it there.

Disclaimer

As far as my blogroll goes, read at your own risk. Views stated in the blogs listed are not my own. Should you click on one of those blogs, read, and get offended, don't be mad at me. I read blogs for a variety of reasons: to entertain, to think, to pass the time. I don't agree with everything I read, nor do I believe everything I read. So as Lifeway Christian bookstore would say, "Read with discernment." I highly doubt the cooking blogs would be considered controversial, and they are actually quite great. I've gotten tons of DELICIOUS recipes from them.

Ok. Disclaimer over.

I want one

I HATE rolling out and cutting cookie dough, but I love making cookies. I need one of these. I don't need any fancy designs, just something to shoot the cookie out. I hate touching cookie dough. I really do.

New Hair

It's layered. These pics aren't great quality, but you get the idea. It's pretty much the same as I had a couple years ago. PS KB: I miss you, too. I sent you a text on your birthday...I hope you got it. Love you!
